Secco and Fresco Secco are painting techniques in which pigments are combined with water or various binders such as casein, sinter water, or glass silicate. The pigments with one of these binders can be applied on a dry intonaco, or with water on a wet intonaco, then called fresco.
One of the most famous examples of a variation of this technique, called secco, is „The Last Supper“ by Leonardo DaVinci.
